Basketball Times Ranks Xavier Men's Basketball Among The Best Again

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University men’s basketball program is ranked 21st in the 2012 rankings released by Basketball Times. The rankings are based on five categories: winning percentage, NBA players, federal graduation rate, U.S. News and World Report academic reputation and program cleanliness. Every five years since 1997, Basketball Times has evaluated the best of the best NCAA programs, those that have won two-thirds of their games over 10 seasons. Xavier is one of only nine schools that have qualified for the rankings project every year it has been done (1997, 2002, 2007 and 2012). The other eight schools are Arizona, Connecticut, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Murray State, North Carolina and Syracuse. The BT 2012 “Top 25”: 1. Duke 2. North Carolina 3. Gonzaga 4. Davidson 5.
