Xavier Men's Basketball Adds Two Exhibition Games To The Schedule

CINCINNATI --- Xavier University announced today that it will have two public exhibition men’s basketball games this season against a pair of NCAA Division II squads.
Xavier opens the 2009-10 season with an exhibition game against Rollins College on Tuesday, November 3 at Cintas Center. Rollins, an NCAA Division II team from Winter Park, Fla., finished the 2008-09 season with a record of 20-10 overall and 10-6 in Sunshine State Conference play. Rollins’ has three former standouts on its roster from Cincinnati’s St. Xavier High School (Kyles Rolfes, Greg Sweeney Jr. and Nick Wolf) and Anderson High product Julian Wilkison.
The second and final exhibition game will be against a team that always has plenty of former area prep standouts, Northern Kentucky University on Saturday, November 7 at Cintas Center. NKU finished 24-7 overall and 14-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference last season. The Norse won the GLVC Tournament Championship and earned the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Tournament.
