Tu Holloway was a consensus Third Team All-American as a junior.

CINCINNATI - Xavier University senior guard Tu Holloway, a 2010-11 Associated Press Third Team All-American and the 2011 Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year, will not attend the 2011 USA Basketball Men's World University Games Team training camp that begins next week.
"Though not an easy decision Tu has decided against trying out for the World Games this July," said Xavier head coach Chris Mack. ""Tu told me that his desire to be around his teammates this summer and lead takes precedence over an opportunity to represent our country. I cannot fault him for wanting to be at Xavier over the next month and a half as he prepares for his senior year. Tu is on track to graduate and staying in Cincinnati will make finishing up his summer classes that much easier. He was honored to be invited by USA Basketball but made the heartfelt decision to pass after much deliberation."
Holloway, Wisconsin senior Jordan Taylor and Ohio State sophomore Jared Sullinger are the only three members of the AP's first three teams for the 2010-11 season that will be returning in the 2011-12 season.
In addition to his AP All-America honor, Holloway was also named Third Team All-American by Sporting News, Basketball Times, SI.com, CBSSports.com and FOXSports.com. He was named to the All-America Team and Defensive All-America Team for collegeinsider.com. He was also an A-10 All-Defensive Team selection.
Holloway led Xavier in scoring at 19.7 ppg. (second in the Atlantic 10), assists at 5.4 apg. (first in the A-10) and free throw percentage (second in A-10 at .870). Holloway, who will enter his senior year ranked 26th on XU's all-time scoring list with 1,238 career points, recorded two triple-doubles this season and just missed by one rebound of recording a third one.
