Xavier University has an exciting and challenging home men’s basketball schedule for the 2010-11 season, Xavier Athletic Director Mike Bobinski announced today.
“We have an impressive lineup of games this season at Cintas Center,” said Bobinski. “You add in the extra excitement about the new scoreboard and video systems and I know our fans can’t wait for the season to start.”
Among the highlights of this year’s slate are games against Florida, Wake Forest and 2010 National Runner-up Butler. Wake Forest is part of the annual Skip Prosser Classic series against the perennial ACC power. Florida won the NCAA National Championship in 2006 and 2007.
In addition to those three challenges, Xavier will also play four other non-conference oppoenents during the regular season at Cintas Center, including the regular season home opener against Western Michigan on Friday, November 12. XU also hosts Wofford, IPFW and Albany.
The Musketeers’ eight-game home Atlantic 10 Conference slate includes Charlotte, Dayton, Fordham, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Saint Louis and Temple.
Information about the preseason exhibition schedule at Cintas Center will be announced at a later date.
