Xavier Men Continue NCAA Tournament Play Tomorrow Against Pittsburgh

Xavier has advanced to at least the NCAA Second Round 12 times in its history, including the last four seasons. Only seven schools have reached at least the second round in each of the last four NCAA Tournaments, including this year: Xavier, Kansas, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.
Xavier is making its fi fth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and its ninth in the last 10 years, including the NCAA Sweet 16 last season and NCAA Elite Eight appearances in 2008 and 2004.
Xavier is one of only 12 schools that have made fi ve straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including this year: Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Marquette, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Villanova, Wisconsin and Xavier.
Xavier is one of only four schools that have a chance this weekend to secure an active streak of at least three straight NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearances, including 2008, 2009 and 2010: Xavier, Kansas, Michigan State and Villanova. Xavier made the 2008 Elite Eight and 2009 Sweet 16 and will play Sunday for a spot in the 2010 Sweet 16.
Xavier, 25-8 overall, has won nine of its last 10 games and 13 of its last 15 games. XU has secured its fi fth straight 20-win season and its 13th 20-win season in 14 years. No. 6 seed Xavier defeated No. 11 seed Minnesota 65-54 in NCAA First Round action on Friday as sophomore Jordan Crawford poured in 28 points to go with fi ve assists.
Xavier was 14-2 in the 2010 Atlantic 10 Conference regular season, earning a Co- Championship with Temple. XU has won at least a share of four straight Atlantic 10 Conference Regular Season Championships.
Xavier sophomore Jordan Crawford leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 20.0 ppg. Crawford was named as a Sporting News Third Team All-American and the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year by Sporting News and foxsports.com.
Xavier's lone senior, Jason Love, was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 by Sporting News and Third Team All-Atlantic 10 by the A-10 coaches. Love leads the team in rebounding at 8.5 rpg. (fi fth in A-10) and is second in scoring at 11.7 ppg. Xavier has won a school record 107 games during Love's four-year career.
Xavier leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring offense (79.6 ppg.), scoring margin (+11.0 ppg.), fi eld goal percentage (.462) and three-point fi eld goal percentage (.371).
Xavier fi rst-year head coach Chris Mack won his fi rst NCAA Tournament game as a head coach on Friday. He has had previous NCAA winning experiences as a player at Evansville and Xavier and as an assistant coach at Xavier and Wake Forest.
