THE X'S AND O'S

• Xavier, 25-6 overall and the Atlantic 10 Conference Regular Season Champions at 12- 4, won a third straight Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship. XU, the top seed in the 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship, beat Saint Louis 66-47 in yesterday's quarterfinals.

• Xavier won its 25th game yesterday, marking the third straight year and the 10th time in Xavier history that the Musketeers have won 25 games or more. XU has clinched four straight 20-win seasons and 12 20-win seasons in the past 13 years.

• Xavier is now 4-1 on neutral courts this season following its win over Saint Louis yesterday. XU beat Missouri, Virginia Tech and Memphis on a neutral court to win the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in November. XU's only neutral court loss was to Duke.

• Xavier has won four Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament Championships, including two of the last five and three of the last seven. XU won the tournament in 1998, 2002, 2004 and again in 2006. XU is 22-9 (.710) all-time in A-10 Tournament play.

• Xavier senior B.J. Raymond is on the All-Atlantic 10 First Team, fourth-year junior Derrick Brown is on the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team and senior C.J. Anderson is Honorable Mention All-Atlantic 10.

• Xavier junior Derrick Brown was named to the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) District 4 First Team, while senior B.J. Raymond made the NABC District 4 Second Team and the USBWA (United States Basketball Writers Association) All-District 5 Team.

• Xavier has won 101 games during the career of senior B.J. Raymond. XU is 101-33 (.754) during Raymond's career, which is a school record for the most wins during a four-year Xavier career.

• Xavier senior B.J. Raymond and junior Derrick Brown both joined the Xavier 1,000 Point Club recently, Raymond on March 5 and Brown on February 26.

• Xavier senior B.J. Raymond has scored in double figures in five straight games and 12 of the last 13.

• Xavier is 19th in the Associated Press Poll and in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, which marks the 16th straight week XU has been ranked in both major national polls. XU is ranked 14th in the latest RPI ratings for collegerpi.com (3-12-09).

• Xavier is one of only nine schools that have made the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight multiple times in the last five years. XU earned its third straight NCAA berth in 2008.
