Xavier, 14-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, clinched at least a share of its fifth straight A-10 Regular Season Championship with the 68-48 win over Charlotte on Wed. XU has also clinched the No. 1 seed in next week's Atlantic 10 Championship in Atlantic City, N.J., which means XU's first game will be Fri., March 11 at noon.
No. 23 Xavier, 23-6 overall, has won eight straight games and 15 of its last 16 games.

Xavier junior Tu Holloway is in the top two in the A-10 in three major categories: scoring at 19.9 ppg. (second in the A-10 and 15th in the nation), assists at 5.6 apg. (second in the A-10) and free throw percentage (second at .870).
Xavier junior Tu Holloway, who is the clear favorite for Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year, is among the 30 All-America candidates recognized on the Naismith Midseason List and is among 10 players in the March 2 Player of the Year race list compiled by Jeff Goodman (FOXSports.com Senior Basketball Writer).
Xavier sophomore Mark Lyons is second on the team in scoring (15th in the A-10 at 13.7 ppg.) and assists (3.2 apg.), including 24 points at Saint Joseph's.
Xavier junior Kenny Frease, who has averaged 12.0 ppg. and 7.0 rpg. (10th in the Atlantic 10), has scored in double figures in 13 of the last 15 games.
Xavier senior Jamel McLean recorded his ninth double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds against Charlotte on Wed. McLean is ranked second in the Atlantic 10 in rebounding (8.4 rpg.) and field goal percentage (.554).
Xavier senior Danté Jackson, who scored a team-high 18 points in the Charlotte victory, and fellow senior Joe Hughes have been a part of 106 wins so far in their careers. The school record for wins is 108 by 2010 graduate Jason Love.
Xavier second-year head coach Chris Mack, 41, is 49-15 (.766) overall and 28-3 (.903) in Atlantic 10 Conference regular season play. Mack is among the top five National Coach of the Year candidates of Jeff Eisenberg (Yahoo Sports).
Xavier and Michigan State are the only teams in all of NCAA Division I that have made at least the Sweet 16 in each of the last three NCAA Tournaments. XU is one of only 12 schools that have made five straight NCAA Tournament appearances. XU has made nine of the last 10 NCAA Tournaments.
