Christon On The Five-Member BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll For Third Time In Four Weeks

CINCINNATI --- Xavier University sophomore Semaj Christon has been selected to the five-member BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Christon averaged 22.5 points per game in games this past week at DePaul and at Providence, while shooting 54 percent from the field (14-26) and 85 percent (17-20) from the free throw line. Christon also added 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Christon has now been named to the five-member BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selected by the BIG EAST Conference five times so far this season, including three out of the last four weeks.

For BIG EAST Conference play, Christon has averaged 21.1 points (third in the BIG EAST), 3.9 assists (seventh in the BIG EAST), 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals (fifth in the BIG EAST), while shooting 59.1 percent from the field (second in the BIG EAST), including 79.6 percent from the free-throw line (14th in the BIG EAST).

Xavier, 15-5 overall and 5-2 in the BIG EAST Conference, hosts Seton Hall on Saturday at noon. The Musketeers are ranked No. 25 in the new NCAA Official RPI Report released today.
