Georgia Head Coach Mark Fox
"Xavier is better than us right now. We got off to a very slow start. We started very poorly and tried to hang in until halftime, but couldn't quite do it."
"We played with a lot of energy. Coach [Chris Mack] told us we'd be subbing in and out every two or three minutes. So we had a lot of energy. The intensity in practice is great with Dee Davis and Justin Martin."
On Xavier's depth "I don't have to force the issue and sometimes take a bad shot. It makes the game a lot easier."
"My focus is to try to get as many rebounds as I can, offensive and defensive. I try to attack the glass and everything else will come."
"We played great defense - the chemistry on defense, the younger guys and the older guys."
Xavier Head Coach Chris Mack
"I thought the first 34 minutes or so we were as good as we've been all year. We didn't necessarily score, but we didn't let it affect our defense. We played great for 33 minutes but we have to finish games a little bit better."
On Justin Martin "He made some big-time energy plays. Sometimes when the score is like a Wisconsin Badgers score, like in the first half, it's hard to feel a lot of energy."
"I thought our staff did a better job of getting our freshmen and our subs in before the first TV timeout. [The freshmen] are getting better every day. Our freshmen have been contributors since the beginning. They're locked in. They're ready to play."
On Travis Taylor
"Travis is a high-motor, high-energy player. He's tenacious on the glass. His confidence [on offense] will come and he will be more of a contributor in the offensive column as time goes on."
