Dayton Head Coach Archie Miller "Absolutely a terrific college basketball game. I think we all know that Tu [Holloway] has done that [make plays] time and time again."
On Tu Holloway's free throws "He's been to the line maybe 600 times in his career. He knows how to get there. He's been there before."
On beating Dayton "It means a lot to us. You can't lose to Dayton. Andre Walker doesn't want to mess up that tradition."
"I just feel that coach [Chris] Mack likes to put the ball in my hands [at the end of games]."
On throwing his shoes into the stands after the game "They were getting old anyway. Something nice for the fans."
Joking about Tu Holloway's performance "He played all right tonight. We're just trying to get back to the way we can play. We came to play tonight and he carried us."
"We were really focused. We played with a lot of energy. Coach [Chris Mack] wanted us to win each four-minute war."
"We're just a team. Everybody cheering everybody on. We know how much potential we have."
"Every game is an important game for us. We had a chip on our shoulder when we went out, the way we played at Dayton [earlier in the season]."
Xavier Head Coach Chris Mack "Well, it was certainly a dogfight. I thought both teams were extremely tired. Tu [Holloway] made some unbelievable plays down the stretch. We made a conscious effort to take him off the ball. We need him to score. We tried to put him in different spots on the floor so it doesn't seem to always be the same play."
On Tu Holloway's attitude coming into the game "He is truly energized right now. He had a great bounce to him this week. I will look for him to have a big finish this year."
"When they [Mark Lyons and Tu Holloway] are both on their game, they are as effective a guard tandem as any in the country."
On Travis Taylor
"He's played really hard over the last few weeks. I want his high motor, but at the same time I want his high IQ."
