10/20/2012 Musketeer Madness Kicks Off Xavier BasketballWanninger, Christon Lead Musketeers In Scoring 10/20/2012 Musketeer Madness Kicks Off Xavier BasketballWanninger, Christon Lead Musketeers In Scoring AS A MUSKETEER: Will practice with the Musketeers this season...will have two seasons of eligibility left beginning with the 2013-14 season. 2011-12 AT WESTERN MICHIGAN: Second on the team in scoring at 11.4 ppg. and first in rebounding at 6.8 rpg. in his second season under WMU head coach Steve Hawkins...played in 33 of WMU's 34 games, starting 28 times...team finished 14-20...set a career-high with 32 points on Nov. 12 at South Dakota State, besting his previous career-best of 18 points in the first half alone...posted career-highs in points, field goals (14), field goal attempts (16), and free throw attempts (5) in that game at South Dakota State...recorded four double-doubles for the season; his first double-double of the season was against Temple on Nov. 17, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to go with two steals and one block...his other three double-doubles came against: Toledo (Jan. 14) with 13 points and 11 rebounds, Buffalo (Feb. 11) with 15 points and 11 rebounds and North Dakota State (Feb. 18) with 15 points and 10 rebounds...scored 20 points, including his first career made three-pointer, to go with eight rebounds against Colorado on Nov. 20...had 11 points and six rebounds against Gonzaga on Nov. 26...had nine points and a career-high 14 rebounds in win over Winthrop on Dec. 20...scored 16 points and added six rebounds and a career-high four assists in win at Oakland on Dec. 23...named MAC West Player of the Week for Dec. 26...notched team highs with 18 points and eight rebounds at Duke on Dec. 30...scored game-high 21 points against Milwaukee, while also recording a game-high eight rebounds and three assists, three steals, and two blocks on Jan. 3. 2010-11 AT WESTERN MICHIGAN: Fourth on the team in scoring at 8.8 ppg. and tied for first in rebounding at 6.4 rpg...played in all 34 games, starting 32 times, as a freshman on a 21-13 squad...made his collegiate debut for Western Michigan and his first collegiate start at Xavier's Cintas Center on Nov. 12 against the Musketeers, tying for the team lead with seven rebounds and scoring 10 points...season-high 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting against No. 19 Illinois on Nov. 27...recorded his first career double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds vs. Alma on Dec. 4...also recorded double-doubles against Idaho State (Dec. 23) with 15 points and 10 rebounds, at Ball State (Jan. 12) with 14 points and 10 rebounds and at Central Michigan (March 5) with 10 points and 12 rebounds...had a season-high 12 rebounds against Central Michigan on Jan. 9...scored a season-high 18 points vs. Northern Illinois on Jan. 22, including the game winner on a tip in at the buzzer...averaged 9.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg at the 2011 MAC Tournament ... averaged 10.0 rpg and 9.5 ppg in the 2011 CIT. AT LAKEWOOD ST. EDWARD HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year letterwinner...averaged eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal per game as his team went 20-4 and was ranked No. 1 in the Cleveland-area for much of the season by the Cleveland Plain Dealer...reached the Section 2 Region Final...named Sun Herald All-District First Team and played in the Greater Cleveland Basketball Coaches Association (GCBCA) All-Star Game ... averaged 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds as a junior for team that went 18-6 and reached the Section 2 Regional semis...basketball coach: Eric Flannery..
