REDFORD KEPT BUSY IN HIS 2010-11 REHAB SEASON: Missed the entire 2010-11 season...suffered a season-ending knee injury during an October practice session...kept busy during the 2010-11 season with his rehabilitation following ACL surgey and his work as a roving reporter for GoXavier.com and RedfordsRundown.com, including interviews with the likes of U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner (Xavier `77), James Posey (Xavier `99), CBS College Sports analyst and former Xavier head coach Pete Gillen and ESPN analyst and coach Bob Knight. He did a sideline spot for CBS College Sports during the XU-Dayton game on Jan. 15...was ranked by FOXSports.com as the second-best shooter in college basketball entering the 2009-10 season...that was a list of the top 50 shooters, according to Jeff Goodman, a senior college basketball writer for FOXSports.com. AS A SOPHOMORE (2009-10): ONE OF COLLEGE BASKETBALL'S BEST SHOOTERS WAS SLOWED DOWN BY INJURY: A left hip injury limited him for the last 10 games of the season...did come back to contribute five points in nine minutes against Pittsburgh in the NCAA Second Round, including a three-pointer...hit a pair of three-pointers in the NCAA Regional Semifinal against Kansas State...was ranked by FOXSports.com as the second-best shooter in college basketball entering the 2009-10 season. AN ATLANTIC 10 LEADER: Second in the Atlantic 10 in three-point field goal percentage at 42.5 percent (48-of-113) as a sophomore, including hitting 4-of-5 three-point attempts on his way to a career-high 16 points at Kansas State..scored in double figures five times as a sophomore, including 11 on Jan. 31 against Fordham...hit 4-of-6 three-pointers for 12 points against Charlotte...48 of his 52 field goals this past season were three-pointers...in fact, 101 of his 108 career field goals have been three-pointers. REDFORD WENT DEEP TO LEAD THE ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE AND BREAK A SCHOOL RECORD (2008-09): Second on the team in three-pointers (53) but led the entire Atlantic 10 Conference in three-point percentage at a school-record 46.5 percent (53-of-114) despite the fact that many of his three-pointers came from way beyond the new and deeper three-point line...his three-point percentage broke the single season mark (.457 on 63-of-138) set by then-senior Jamie Gladden in the 1992-93 season...53 of Redford's 56 field goals were three-pointers...a Xavier crowd favorite with his deep-range bombs...his 53 three-pointers mark the third-highest total for a freshman in Xavier history behind Stanley Burrell (61 in 2004-05) and XU freshman record holder Romain Sato (65 in 2000-01). MORE FROM 2008-09: Averaged 6.2 points in 14.6 minutes per game over the last 24 games compared with 2.9 points and 8.8 minutes for the first 11 games...hit a career-high tying five three-pointers on his way to a then career-high tying 15 points against Fordham on Feb. 14...drilled four three-pointers on his way to 12 points in wins over Temple and George Washington...took an elbow in practice on January 20 to his upper lip that required 16 stitches but was back at shootaround that night...was a big part of the XU offense the following night at St. Bonaventure with four three-pointers on his way to 14 points to go with two assists in a career-high 23 minutes, including a 3-of-3 effort in the first half that helped XU build a commanding 41-22 halftime lead...scored 11 points on the strength of three three-pointers at Fordham...hit a career-high five three-pointers out of a career-high eight attempts on his way to a then career-high 15 points in a then career-high 20 minutes against Robert Morris...tied for team-high scoring honors in the Robert Morris win...hit both of his three-point attempts on the way to seven points in the win over Missouri...also hit both of his three-point attempts on the way to six points in the Duke game.
