REDFORD WENT DEEP TO LEAD THE ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE AND BREAK A SCHOOL RECORD: Second on the team in three-pointers (53) but led the entire Atlantic 10 Conference in three-point percentage at a school-record 46.5 percent (53-of-114) despite the fact that many of his three-pointers came from way beyond the new and deeper three-point line...his three-point percentage broke the single season mark (.457 on 63-of-138) set by then-senior Jamie Gladden in the 1992-93 season...53 of Redford's 56 field goals this past season were three-pointers...a Xavier crowd favorite with his deep-range bombs...his 53 three-pointers mark the third-highest total for a freshman in Xavier history behind Stanley Burrell (61 in 2004-05) and XU freshman record holder Romain Sato (65 in 2000-01).

AT FRANKENMUTH HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged a school-record 36.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.0 steals per game while leading his team to a school-record 23 wins and a 23-3 final mark, district and regional championships as well as Tri Valley East and Saginaw News Area "Class B" championships...won the prestigious Hal Schram Michigan "Mr. Basketball" Award and the Gatorade State of Michigan Player of the Year Award as a senior in addition to a long list of other honors: Associated Press State "Class B" Player of the Year, Detroit News All-State "Dream Team," Detroit Free Press All-State "Dream Team," Saginaw News All-Area "Dream Team," Tuscola County Advertiser All-Area "Dream Team," Bank Hoops All-State Player of the Year, Great Lakes Hoops "Class B" All-Mid-Michigan Player of the Year, Meijer Holiday Hoops Invitational Most Valuable Player, First Team All-Tri Valley East Conference and Team MVP...featured in "Faces in the Crowd" in Sports Illustrated (5-12-08 edition)...high honorable mention prep All-American in the 2007-08 Sporting News preseason basketball magazine...garnered national attention by hitting a state-record 102 consecutive free throws, while hitting a state-record 96.7 percent (208-of-215) for his senior season...had another streak of 35 straight during his senior year and one of 34 straight as a sophomore...his 93.3 percent career free throw percentage is a state record...connected on a state-record 143 three-point field goals this past season, while hitting 42.8 percent of his tries...hit 45.7 percent from the field overall...scored as many as 53 points in a game during his prep career...finished with a number of Frankenmuth High school career records, including most points (14th in Michigan prep history with 2,146), most assists (395), most steals (242), most field goals made (679), most three-point field goals (third in Michigan prep history with 314), most free throws made (fifth in Michigan prep history with 474) and free throw percentage (first in Michigan prep history at 93.3 percent)...compiled an 83-15 record in four seasons at Frankenmuth High School, while leading his team to four straight district titles...basketball coach: Tim Crawford.
