XAVIER'S ALL-TIME WINS LEADER... Xavier recorded a 108-33 (.766) record during his career...the 108 wins broke the school record of 103, which was set by 2009 XU graduate B.J. Raymond...Xavier teams during his career won eight NCAA Tournament games, which is the XU school record for a player.
TEAM LEADER... Led the team in rebounding at 8.7 rpg. (fourth in the Atlantic 10), including his career-high 19-rebound games against Cincinnati and Marquette and 15 against Kansas State in the NCAA Tournament...also led the team in blocks at 1.4 bpg. (tied for ninth in the A-10), including a career-high six in the win over Dayton on Jan. 16...third on the team in scoring at 11.8 ppg... started for XU 91 times in his last three seasons, including the last 70 games.
LOVE MADE HIS MARK ON THE SCHOOL RECORD BOOKS... Had 734 career rebounds, which ranks 12th in Xavier history...also is high on the all-time career blocks list with 127 career blocks, which ranks tied for fourth in Xavier history with long-time NBA standout Brian Grant (127 from 1990-94)...his 126 career games played put him in a tie for eighth place all-time.
2008-09...ONE OF THE TEAM LEADERS IN MANY AREAS...Has started at center for XU 56 times over the past two seasons, including all 35 this past season...second on the team in rebounding at 5.9 rpg. (16th in the Atlantic 10) and second on the team in blocked shots at 1.17 bpg. (14th in the A-10), including his career-high five blocks against Dayton on March 5 and four blocks each in back-to-back wins over Ohio (Dec. 10) and Cincinnati (Dec. 13)...one of XU's team leaders in free throw percentage and would be in the top 10 in the Atlantic 10 for the entire season at 79.0 percent (83-of-105) but his 2.4 free throws made per game average was below the 2.5 minimum...scored in double figures 10 times...scored 10 points in the A-10 Tournament win over Saint Louis...hit all six of his shots from the field on his way to 13 points against Temple in the regular season matchup to go with seven rebounds...averaged 8.0 ppg. in Atlantic 10 regular season play, while shooting 62.5 percent (45-of-72) from the field and 86.4 percent (38-of-44) from the free throw line...scored a career-high 15 points in the Robert Morris win, hitting 7-of-9 from the field, to go with six rebounds and three blocked shots...the seven field goals were also a career high...contributed 11 points and six rebounds in the win over Saint Louis...scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Fordham...logged a career-high 29 minutes at Cincinnati, while blocking four shots...grabbed a game-high and personal career-high 12 rebounds in the win over Memphis...grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, including eight in the second half alone, against La Salle.
2007-08...scored in double figures in eight games, including 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds in the Atlantic 10 Semifinal versus Saint Joseph's...had his first career double-double with 12 points on 4-of-4 shooting from the field to go with a career-high and game-high 10 rebounds against George Washington at Cintas Center...scored 12 points to go with six rebounds in the Duquesne win...had 10 points in the win over La Salle and a career-high 13 points at Temple...led XU in rebounding nine times as a sophomore, including a game-high and career-high tying 10 rebounds in the win over West Virginia on Thursday...had a team-high nine rebounds in the win at Rhode Island and a game-high eight-rebounds in the win over Saint Joseph's at Cintas Center...made his first 21 career starts in the last 26 games...one of his greatest areas of improvement over the last 26 games has come at the free-throw line...hit 65.2 percent (58-of-89) from the free-throw line in the last 25 games after hitting just 9-of-22 (.409) from the free-throw line for the first 11 games...has put in a lot of extra work before and after practice with extra shooting...for the season he played in all 37 games, averaging 6.0 ppg. and 5.5 rpg. in 18.0 minutes per game...led the team and was seventh in the Atlantic 10 Conference in offensive rebounding at 2.4 per game...Love, who is 6-9 and 255 pounds, has shed 30 pounds since coming to Xavier while getting stronger every day in XU's strength and conditioning program...has earned a look in the post but it hasn't come without some hard work and discipline.
CAREER NIGHTS FOR LOVE...grabbed a career-high tying 10 rebounds in the win over West Virginia in the NCAA Tournament Regional Semifinal...scored a career-high 13 points at Temple...grabbed a career-high and game-high 10 rebounds against George Washington at Cintas Center...grabbed eight rebounds and scored a then career-high nine points to go with a career-high three blocked shots against Tennessee (Dec. 22) followed by a then career-high 10 points to go with a then career-high tying 9 rebounds against Delaware State in his first career start (Dec. 28)...on New Year's Eve night he made his second start and had a then career-high 11 points to go with seven rebounds in a then career-high tying 23 minutes against Michael Beasley and Kansas State...had a team-high eight rebounds in a then career-high 23 minutes at Arizona State on Dec. 15.
2006-07...SPREADING THE LOVE...played in 12 of the last 16 games, averaging 4.8 minutes per game, while hitting 5-of-7 from the field...sustained a laceration on his left knee at practice on January 29 but amazingly was back in action on February 3 against Charlotte...reaggravated the injury and was forced to sit out two more games before returning to action for seven of the last eight games...scored four points, grabbed a career-high four rebounds and had a block in a career-high 13 minutes against Charlotte...had three rebounds and two blocks in 12 minutes against Saint Louis...made a big impact when head coach Sean Miller called on him at St. Bonaventure due to injury and foul problems...scored a career-high six points to go with three rebounds in nine minutes played...made the most of his four minutes of action against Western Carolina on December 2, hitting both of his shots from the field en route to career highs of five points, three rebounds, one block and one steal.
