ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM...selected by the Atlantic 10 coaches to the 2006-07 Atlantic 10 Conference First Team...it's not surprising when you look at the numbers...for Xavier's 16 Atlantic 10 Conference games he led XU at 15.6 ppg., while shooting 52.5 percent (85-of-162) from the field, including 43.1 percent (25-of-58) from three-point territory.

NATIONAL PRAISE...ESPN analyst Tim McCormick raved about Doellman during a recent broadcast: "I don't think Doellman gets enough credit for being a really good athlete. He's very versatile. He can score in the post, in transition and hit the three-pointer...How can you cover him? If you put a little guy on him he's able to go inside. If you put a big guy on him he can hit threes and run you to death in transition." ESPN's Mark Adams commented: "Justin Doellman is just a great all-around basketball player."

A LEADER...led the team in scoring (13.7 ppg.), including his 23-point game in XU's first round win over BYU and a career-high 29-point game against Rhode Island on Feb. 21...XU was 12-1 when he led the team in scoring, including the BYU NCAA win...also led the team in rebounding (5.5 rpg.) and blocks (1.15 bpg.)...was the team rebound leader for the third straight year, including his 10-rebound game against then No. 8 Alabama...had a game-high 10 rebounds against VCU...Did you know that the last four players to even lead XU in rebounding in consecutive seasons all went on to successful NBA careers? 2003 graduate David West (four straight years), 1999 grad James Posey (three straight years), 1994 grad Brian Grant (four straight years) and 1990 grad Tyrone Hill (four straight years).

A WINNER...played in a school record 132 career games, while starting the last 123 games...Doellman and teammate Justin Cage (who logged the second-most XU games played with 131) were starters on the 2004 Xavier team that won four Atlantic 10 Tournament games on the way to A-10 Championships in 2004 and 2006 as well as berths in the 2004 NCAA Tournament "Elite Eight" and the 2006 and 2007 NCAA Tournaments.

1,000 POINT CLUB...finished his career in 17th place on Xavier's all-time scoring list with 1,402 career points...had 22 double-figure scoring games, including 21 in the last 28 games...had eight 20-point games in the last 20 games...had a career-high 29 points against Rhode Island, 24 points against Dayton and Saint Louis and 23 versus BYU in the NCAA Tournament.

MORE CAREER LEADERSHIP...led XU in blocks at 1.15 bpg. (sixth in the A-10)...third on XU's all-time blocked shot list with 140 career blocks, including four blocks against Dayton and three blocks at Saint Joe's...took the third spot from former XU and NBA star Brian Grant (127 from 1990-94)...his 708 career rebounds rank him 16th all-time in Xavier history.

AT RYLE HIGH...2003 First Team All-State...averaged 21.7 points and 8.5 rebounds as a senior...Ryle High number "11" jersey is retired...the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,503 points...basketball coach: Nate Niemi.

PERSONAL...a communication arts/advertising major with a business minor...born February 3, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio...was married this summer to Meredith Frendt, a 2006 XU graduate and four-year letterwinner and former captain of the women's soccer team...parents are Dan and Pam Doellman...father played basketball at Northern Kentucky University and is a member of the school's athletic hall of fame.
