XAVIER'S FLOOR GENERAL AND DEFENSIVE LEADER: Sat out the Memphis game on Feb. 26 due to injury...tied for team-high scoring honors with 15 points against VCU on Feb. 23 despite having to sit out the final 13:35 due to injury...scored 13 first-half points in helping XU build a 13-point halftime lead...scored a team-high 14 points, dished off three assists, and came up big defensively, while being named the Blackburn/McCafferty MVP by the media in the win over Dayton on Jan. 30... scored 10 points in the Fordham win on Feb. 13...XU was 7-2 when Davis scores in double figures...returned to the lineup in the La Salle game on Jan. 19, contributing seven assists and only one turnover...played only 10 minutes against Temple on Jan. 10 due to a left wrist injury suffered in that game and he sat out the Jan. 12 George Washington and Jan. 16 St. Bonaventure games...third on the team in scoring at 8.2 ppg...second on the team and 15th in the Atlantic 10 Conference in assists at 3.4 apg.

ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE HONORS AFTER A RECORD-SETTING OPENER: Earned Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week honors and also was named as one of ESPN's "Best of the Best" Top Performers of the weekend after scoring a career-high 22 points on the strength of a career-high five 3-pointers to go with a career-high 15 assists in Xavier's season-opening win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 9...his previous highs were 10 points and six assists against Oral Roberts on Dec. 18, 2011...hit 8-of-11 from the field, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range...his 15 assists set a new Xavier sophomore record and tied for the second-best assist mark by any Xavier player...the 15 assists were just three shy of the school record of 18, which was set by Keith Walker against Detroit in the 1979-80 season.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12): Came up big off the bench in the NCAA Tournament win over Lehigh on March 18, logging 29 minutes and providing excellent pressure defense in addition to hitting two big 3-pointers...played in all 36 games...made his second start of the season against Saint Louis on Jan. 25...swiped a career-high four steals versus Southern Illinois on Dec. 25...connected on a career-high two 3-pointers at La Salle on Jan. 4...made his first collegiate start on Dec. 18 against Oral Roberts, recording season highs for points (10), assists (6), rebounds (3), field goals (3), free throws (4) and minutes played (34)...played well in 20 minutes against Georgia, contributing five points, two rebounds and two steals in addition to his pressure defense...played 22 minutes in his collegiate debut against Morgan State on Nov. 11, contributing two points, two assists and two steals.

HONOR ROLL: Davis was ranked No. 22 at point guard by ESPN.com, No. 23 by Scout.com and No. 24 by Rivals.com...Rivals also listed Davis as the No. 120 player overall.

AT BLOOMINGTON SOUTH: Won the 4A State Championship as a sophomore and a senior and was named MVP of the state tournament both years...averaged 21.6 points, 5.7 assists and 2.4 steals a game as a senior while leading his team to a 26-2 overall record and the state title...two-time All-State selection...finished his career with 1,582 career points and 471 career assists, while helping Bloomington South compile a 75-3 record during his three seasons as the starting point guard...team had a streak of 49 straight wins that ended in the postseason tournament his junior year...among his high school teammates were Spencer Turner (Belmont), Jordan Hulls (Indiana) and Eric Fromm (Butler)...basketball coach: J.R. Holmes.
