If you ask our players they will tell you that the organization on a daily basis that Bill provides is invaluable to their success at Xavier as students and athletes. Bill is extremely intelligent, passionate about the game and a tireless worker. He sets our program apart in so many ways."

Comar, 36, came to Xavier after four years on Oliver Purnell's staff at the University of Dayton, including two seasons as an assistant coach (1998-99 and 2000-01) and two years as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations (1997-98 and 1999-2000). Comar, a native of Wilmette, Ill., played on the 1989 New Trier High School team that advanced to the Elite Eight in the Illinois State Tournament. Comar then attended Kenyon College (Ohio), where he played for three seasons in the basketball program (1989-92). He graduated magna cum laude from Kenyon in 1993 with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in sociology. He received his M.S. in sport studies from Miami in 1995.
