CINCINNATI -- Xavier outfielder Mitch Elliott has been named to the Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Team. Elliott will represent the Will County CrackerJacks Wednesday night at the Benedictine University Sports Complex in Lisle, Ill. First pitch of the 2012 All-Star Game is set for 7 p.m.

Elliott has had a strong season with Will County. He is second in the league in batting average (0.382), tied for the team-lead in RBI (23) and games played (23), leads the CrackerJacks in hits (39), at bats (102) and is second on the team in stolen bases (12). Elliott has played both left field and center field for Will County this season.

During the 2012 season, Elliott posted a .279 average for the Musketeers while scoring 27 runs and knocking in 17 RBI. The Wexford, Pa., native also blasted two home runs for XU in 2012.
