Head coach Scott Googins and the Xavier baseball team are hosting the Eighth Annual Xavier Baseball Golf Outing Sept. 22
June 15, 2012
CINCINNATI - The Eighth Annual Xavier Baseball Charity Golf Outing Benefiting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Xavier University Baseball Team will be hosted on September 22 at Beckett Ridge Golf Club at 1 p.m. All Xavier alumni, fans, family and friends are invited to join the Xavier baseball team at this annual fundraiser.
Last year’s outing was one of the largest ever in the seven-year history of the event. With 120 golfers, the event raised almost $7,000 and in doing so eclipsed the $50,000 of total money raised plateau. As always, the money was divided between the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Xavier University baseball program.
The goal is to exceed last year’s totals in both participants and dollars raised. To get involved, all you have to do is get a foursome together, take advantage of one of the many sponsorship opportunities or by donating items that can be used for a raffle prize. The event will include dinner, an awards ceremony, prizes and much more.
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is recognized throughout the world as a leader in pediatric health-care. They are “dedicated to serving the health-care needs of infants, children and adolescents and to providing research and teaching programs that ensure delivery of the highest pediatric care to our community, the nation and the world.”
