CINCINNATI - Senior Mark Elwell and Junior Vinny Nittoli were named to the 2013 Atlantic 10 Baseball All-Championship Team following the conclusion of the tournament last weekend.

Nittoli hit a staggering .615 with an equally impressive 1.154 slugging percent and .667 OBP. He drove in three RBIs and scored six times during Xavier's four games. Starting three games in the outfield and one game as the pitcher/designated hitter, Nittoli connected on eight hits with five of them going for extra bases. He belted one home run and four doubles over the weekend.

Elwell earned the nod after registering a .526 on-base percentage and belting his first-career home run. Xavier's starting centerfielder was instrumental in Xavier's 7-6 win over top-seed Saint Louis on Thursday, making a diving catch in the second inning, cracking a game-tying home run in the eighth and robbing a game-tying home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

Xavier finished third in the championship after defeating No. 5 George Washington in its opening round game and No. 1Saint Louis in its second contest of the tournament. The Musketeers were eliminated after falling to second-seeded Charlotte and then Saint Louis in a rematch in the consolation bracket.
