Join head coach Scott Googins and the Musketeers May 15 for the baseball alumni celebration.
April 13, 2011
CINCINNATI -- Xavier baseball will be hosting an Alumni Celebration on May 15. It has been an exciting start to the season for the Musketeers and they are excited to be playing on the newly renovated Hayden Field. During the off-season, Hayden Field received much needed improvements including a state of the art athletic field as the old surface was replaced with a natural bluegrass field. New dugouts were also installed and a new brick wall along the backstop with a new screen was also put into place. Thank you to the donors who helped to make these renovations happen.
On May 15, Xavier baseball alumni, family and friends are invited back to campus for an end of the season celebration and to see the renovations first hand. The Musketeers will play in their final home game of the season and honor six seniors. The Musketeers will take on George Washington at noon. Following the game, Xavier baseball will host a cookout and alumni will have a chance to tour the facilities. Prior to the game, a campus tour will be provided. If you are interested in attending this event, please register online.
There are some finishing touches that Coach Googins and the team are looking to make to the field to wrap up the renovation. We need your support to complete this project which includes brick facing on the dugouts, storage shed for equipment, perimeter security fence, a new scoreboard and renovation of the indoor and outdoor hitting cages.

It is with private support that our student-athletes are able to compete at the highest level and we thank all of our athletic supporters.
