Baseball at Bowling Green Cancelled
April 4, 2007 CINCINNATI - Due to unplayable weather conditions, the baseball game at Steller Field between Xavier and Bowling Green has been cancelled. At this time the game has not been rescheduled. Up next for the Musketeers will be the Richmond Spiders, who currently sit in a three way tie for second place in the A-10 at 5-1. The Musketeers will look to make it eight straight wins after sweeping A-10 rival Dayton and defending A-10 champions, Saint Louis, last weekend to start the conference schedule 6-0 for the first time since 2002. After a 7-5 win over Ohio yesterday, Xavier improved to 6-0 at Hayden Field and XU currently has an eight-game conference winning streak dating back to the last two games of 2006, when the Musketeers took two of three from Saint Joseph's in the final conference weekend. Xavier will have the remainder of the week off before packing up and heading to Richmond (17-11, 5-1 A-10) for a weekend series with the Spiders. UR is currently in a three-way tie for second place in the conference with XU claiming the top spot with a 6-0 mark in the A-10. Xavier's rotation for the weekend will be Bill Konecny (1-3, 2.97 ERA) on Friday afternoon, Charlie Leesman (1-2, 4.50 ERA) on Saturday and Michael Lucas (1-4, 5.40 ERA) on Sunday. Game times for this weekend are scheduled as a 3:00 pm first pitch on Friday, followed by a noon start on Saturday and Sunday.
