As part of the new and improved athletics website at, the Student Athlete of the Week Driven by Toyota will profile a different XU student-athlete each week. This feature will allow all Xavier supporters to learn a little more about the outstanding student athletes that attend Xavier University.

Adam Pasono, a freshman on the baseball team, is this week's Student-Athlete of the Week following his performance versus Indiana State on March 16 and Youngstown State on March 17. In two starts in centerfield, the DePere, Wis. native recorded five hits in eight at bats while scoring two runs and legging out his first career triple on March 17 versus Youngstown State. Pasono also had three putouts in two games while patrolling the outfield for the Musketeers.

Through 19 games, Pasono has appeared in 14 games including 11 starting assignments. He is hitting .333 on the season with four extra base hits including a pair of home runs.

The Xavier baseball team will return to the diamond on Wednesday, March 22, when the Musketeers are scheduled to play at Kentucky.
