CINCINNATI - The Xavier baseball team is set to head up I-75 to take on intrastate foe Wright State Wednesday, March 18. This will be the last non-conference opponent and road game for the Musketeers before opening Atlantic 10 play at home this coming weekend. First pitch for the midweek match-up is set for 6:30 p.m. at WSU's Nischwitz Stadium.

Xavier (7-6) split its games this past weekend at the Michigan State Spartan Classic. Additionally, Richard carries a 2.70 ERA and may get into the rotation for this coming weekend's series versus Saint Louis. Junior Danny Rosenbaum continues to be the team's strike outs leader, tallying a team-best 17 on the season so far, and also holds a team-low 1.27 ERA in four appearances.

Wright State (7-11) is coming off a 6-3 win over Miami (Ohio) on March 17. The Raiders are led by Casey McGrew who carries a .439 average (29-of-66) with a team-high nine doubles and three home runs. Alex Kaminsky holds a 2.70 ERA in three appearances for the Raiders.

The Musketeers will be making their 2009 home debut on March 20 as they are set to open Atlantic 10 conference play versus Saint Louis. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. on Friday.
