Sophomore Michael Moore helped lead the Blue team to a win in the series finale.

CINCINNATI -- The Blue team triumphed in the Xavier baseball team's annual Blue-White Series at Hayden Field. Blue took the series 2-1 by winning the series opener and finale.
In game one, the White team scored two runs in the top of the first on three straight two-out doubles from juniors Seth Willoughby and Seth Dawes, and freshman Joe Forney. Blue scored twice in bottom of the fifth, and rallied in the sixth with two runs to seal the 4-3 win.
Junior Jake Clear earned the win in game No. 1 for Blue.
Redshirt-junior Tyler Koors got the start and Willoughby earned the win as the White team defeated Blue 6-5. . White scored four runs in the bottom of the second on a solo home run by Dawes and a two-run double by Joey Noble.
Blue scored two in the third on a Mitch Elliott single, and a Michael Moore fielder's choice groundout. White scored two in the sixth to take the lead on a two- out two-run error by sophomore Tres Eberhardt on a groundball hit by Forney.
In the finale, freshman Jacob Bodner pitched two innings of relief and was helped by some potent offense as Blue clinched the series with a 6-3 win. Moore led the way going 1-3, with a walk and two RBI.
