Alec Moss begins his first season with Xavier as a volunteer assistant coach. Moss, a former Musketeer during the 2001-2004 seasons, will assist the staff with all the day-to-day operations of the program.

Moss comes to Xavier after spending the previous year at his prep alma mater, Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif. While at NDHS, Moss was a varsity baseball assistant coach and taught history, sociology and psychology classes.

As a Musketeer, Moss played in 184 games and finished his career with a .275 average. He totaled 152 hits, 21 doubles, eight homeruns and 77 RBIs at the plate.

His list of awards include the Xavier Dean's List, 2001 and 2003 Xavier baseball Teammanship and 2003 Most Improved Player, 2002 A-10 First Team All-Conference member, 2000 California First Team All-State member and 2000 Southern California First Team All-CIF Conference for baseball and football.

Moss currently resides in Cincinnati.
