Xavier knocked off Cincinnati in the first of a two-game mid-week series. A couple of big plays were the difference in the 4-1 victory.
Xavier trailed 3-0 but battled back to take game two of the three-game Atlantic 10 series against Charlotte.
Outside of the men's basketball team, the Musketeers have a busy upcoming week. Tennis steps out of conference play, baseball has five games on the road, both golf teams are in Florida, and track is headed to Alabama.
Baseball won its third game in four tries on Tuesday. Xavier beat Miami (Ohio) 8-3 at Hayden Field behind five scoreless innings from freshman Adam Hall.
The Musketeers will open up their 2012 home schedule this weekend against Toledo.

2013: Saw action in 36 games and picked up 11 starts ... Hit .224 in 58 trips to the plate as a senior ... Was instrumental in Xavier's sweep of Evansville, going 3-for-4 in Sunday's contest with a game-winning three-run home run ... 2012: Started 49 times in 52 games played ... Hit .279 on the season with a .363 slugging percentage ... Scored 23 times and drove in 19 runs ... Second on the team with 11 doubles ... Opened season with a 10-game hitting streak, which included six multi-hit games ... Went a combined 6-for-14 (.429) in the season-opening series at No. 3 North Carolina ... Had a pair of hits, including a double, with an RBI and two runs scored against Miami (Ohio) ... Drove in two runs and scored once in Xavier's 11-3 win at Indiana ... Went 5-of-14 (.357) in Xavier's series against Charlotte ... Plated four runs, scored twice and hit lone home run of the season in the weekend series against Rhode Island ... In a four-game stretch that included a road game at UC and home series versus Fordham, combined to go 9-for-16 (.563) at the plate and scored five runs.
