The Xavier baseball team is in the middle of the Atlantic 10 playoff hunt and needs a big result this weekend against George Washington.
Seth Dawes hit his first home run of the season and Brian Bruening cut down a run at the plate with a great throw from right field. The Musketeers dropped the contest however, 5-2.
Baseball won its third game in four tries on Tuesday. Xavier beat Miami (Ohio) 8-3 at Hayden Field behind five scoreless innings from freshman Adam Hall.
