Xavier University Joins The New Big East

Xavier University President Michael J. Graham, S.J., announced today that Xavier is joining a 10-team conference with fellow private schools Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, and Villanova. The conference will be officially named the Big East on July 1.

The Xavier men's and women's cross country teams concluded their team seasons Friday in Madison, Wisconsin at the Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Championship Course, the site of the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. The women placed 13th overall and the men placed 19th overall.
