
Women's Cross Country Team Places 15th in UW-Parkside Invitational
The Xavier University women's cross country team placed 15th out of a field of 30 teams in the 5K UW-Parkside Cross Country Invitational with a score of 440 points. Four of Xavier's top five runners finished with a season best time. Jennie Illig (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon Township) was Xavier's top finisher for the third time out of five races this season. Illig ran a season best 19:32 in placing 56th. Junior Molly Krumpelbeck (Cincinnati/Seton) finished shortly after Illig with a time of 19:37 to place 65th. Sophomore Jaime Wyckoff (West Chester, OH/Lakota East) ran a season best in finishing with a time of 20:00 to earn her 98th. Sarah Rodenbeck (Cincinnati/Mercy) placed 134th in running a season best 20:25. Jamie Adams (North Canton, OH/Hoover) ended the scoring for the Musketeers in posting a season best 20:45 to place 156th. The next race for the men's and women's teams is in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Saturday, November 2.
