Atlantic 10 Honors Four Xavier Athletes

CINCINNATI --- The Atlantic 10 Conference tabbed four Xavier athletes Monday for the league’s weekly honors.

Lauren Clary (Terre Haute, Ind.Terre Haute) was named A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. Clary won all four matches, two singles and two doubles, at the Miami Invitational. With the victories she moves to 10-1 in singles and 10-0 in doubles action.

Sophomore Ryan Potts (Brookfield, WI/Marquette) was named Performer of the Week. Potts won the "C" Flight in the Dayton Invitational this weekend. He also won his flight at the Butler Invitational. Potts moves to 6-3 on the year.

Drew LaMaster (Prospect, KY/South Oldham) was named Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week after his performance in the Heidelberg Invitational on Saturday in Tiffin, Ohio. LaMaster posted a fourth-place finish with a time of 26:50 as Xavier placed second in the seven-team field.

Miles Maillet (Bishop, Calif./Bishop Union) was named Men’s Golf Performer of the Week after earning runner-up honors after leading the Musketeers to a second place finish at the Xavier Provident Invitational. Maillet shot rounds of 67, 69 and 70 to shoot a 7-under 206 for the tournament. His 67 ties him for the third lowest round in school history.
