Cross Country Posts a Pair of Top-10 Finishes at Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Xavier University men's and women's cross country teams each notched top-10 finishes in the Falcon Cross Country Invitational held at Bowling Green State University on Saturday afternoon.

The women's team finished in eighth place in the field of 19 teams, while the men's squad finished ninth out of the 13 teams competing.

Sophomore Becky Clark led the way for the women with a 13th place finish and a time of 18:34.52. Junior Ben Milroy posted a time of 26:16.28 and finished in 14th place out of the 148 participants.

Senior Kelly Sraj finished in 19th place with a time of 18:46.01 and she was followed by junior Amanda Brown. Brown finished the 5K run in 34th place with a time of 19:14.22.

Freshman standout Drew Kaiser had the second-fastest time of any Musketeer, finishing in 33rd place with a time of 26:46.26. Junior Tony Matheus was hot on his trail with a 45th place finish and an 8K time of 27:03.82.

The Musketeers are back in action when they look to put together another solid performance at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday, October 28.
