Caylin Howell, a senior on the cross country and track and field team, is this week's Meet the Musketeer.

2010-11: Saw action in all seven events as a junior running consistently in the top 5 for Xavier ... Shattered her personal record in the 5K at the All-Ohio Championship with a time of 18:21 ... Highest finish was fifth at the Queen City Invitational with a 18:31 ... Ran a 23:45 6K at the Princeton Invitational ... Came in 52nd place at the Atlantic 10 Championships and 120th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional

2009-2010: Ran in five events in the fall for XU ...Turned in the sixth best 5K time of the team at the Puma/Concordia Classic where she crossed in 19:07 and finished 23rd overall ...Finished eighth overall at the Big River Early Run with a 4K time 15:37 ...Competed in the Atlantic 10 Championships

2008-09: Competed in all seven of Xavier's fall events as a freshman ...Turned in a season-best and career-best 5K time of 19:06 at the Notre Dame Invitational ...Finished in the top 25 in three events including coming in 12th at the Queen City Invitational and 18th bothat the Hawai'i Pacific Invitational and the Charlotte Invitational

High School: Led cross country squad to district championships as a junior and senior... Finished fourth in 1,600-meter and sixth in 800-meter at regionals as a junior... Improved to a fourth-place finish in the 800 at regionals as a senior and finished fourth at the state meet in the 1600... Earned team MVP honors seven times, four for track and three for cross country.
