Rachel Clark was named to her first A-10 Academic All-Conference Team.

CINCINNATI - Xavier seniors Keith Albrektson and Emily Tyler, along with junior Rachel Clark were named to the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-Conference Team, which was announced Thursday by the league office.
This is the second straight selection to the outdoor all-academic team for Tyler and the first for Albrektson and Clark. The three members on this year's academic all-conference team mark the highest number of Musketeer representatives on a single track and field all-academic team.
It is the third time Tyler has been named to an academic all-conference team during her illustrious career at Xavier. The Bethel, Ohio native was named to both the indoor and outdoor conference all-academic teams in 2011 and has been named to seven A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls.
The outdoor honor is the first for Albrektson and the third A-10 academic team of his career. He earned a spot on the league's all-academic team in cross country and indoor track and field in 2011. The Louisville, Ky. native is five-time A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
This is the first time Clark has been on the outdoor track and field all-academic team. The junior liberal arts major has been named to five A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls.
In addition to their success in the classroom all three honorees had impressive outdoor seasons.
Tyler earned her third-career league medal at this year's A-10 Outdoor Championship by finishing second in the women's 100-meter hurdles. In addition to that, she also recorded the second-fastest conference time (14.08) in the event and holds six individual and two relay school records.
Albrektson finished eighth in the men's 10,000-meter run (30:43.45) and 16th in the men's 5,000-meter run (14:54.50) at this year's A-10 Outdoor Championship. He also recorded four top 10 finishes during his final outdoor season.
Clark was one of six athletes to earn dual running medals at this year's A-10 Outdoor Championship. The Cincinnati native, finished second in the women's 800-meter run (2:10.15) and third in the 1,500-meter run (4:27.44) at the A-10 Championship. During the season she broke three individual school records, one relay record, and had six top three finishes during the year.
