Xavier prepares for BIG EAST championship at the Stan Lyons Invitational

CINCINNATI - The Xavier track and field team will travel to Indianapolis this Saturday to compete in the Stan Lyons Invitational at Butler University. The team will face Butler, IUPUI, Marquette and IPFW and will use the meet to prepare for the BIG EAST Championships next weekend.

The men's 4x100m relay will consist of freshmen Matthew Bryant, Russell Platt and Dimitrious Dimitroff and senior Craig Krcal. Platt and Dimitroff are currently ranked second and fifth in the 100m and Krcal, a new addition to the 4x100, will anchor for this meet.

The 800m entrants are freshman Grant Parrelli and seniors Matt Orlando and Nick Kobunski, while the 1500m participants are seniors Tom Ohlman, Connor Buchholz, Corey Zielinski and Keith Schenkel.

The women's 800m entrants are freshmen Haley Jerabek, Sydney Larkin and Rachael Sollman and seniors Madison Riethman, Susannah Shelley and Emily Staresinic. The 1500m consists of senior runners Anna Ahlrichs and Jessica Albers, junior Audrey Ramos and Sollman.

 

 

The Stan Lyons Invitational is scheduled to start this Saturday, May 3 at 3:00 p.m. at Butler University.
