The Musketeers will battle against teams from Ohio and Indiana this Saturday in Oxford.

CINCINNATI - Xavier track and field will travel to Oxford, Ohio this Saturday to compete in the Redhawk Invitational at Miami (Ohio) University after coming off of a successful trip out west where they competed against elite teams from around the country. The team will compete against schools from both Ohio and Indiana in preparation for the BIG EAST Championships in two weeks.
Junior John Kolibab will compete in the high jump at the Redhawk Invitational after being named BIG EAST Field Athlete of the week this past week and senior captain Craig Krcal will compete in the pole vault.
Freshmen Matthew Bryant, Dimitrious Dimitroff, Josh Phelan and Russell Platt will all participate in multiple events this weekend and are members of the men's 4x100m relay team. Bryant is scheduled for the 100m, long jump and triple jump, Dimitroff and Phelan are slated for the 100m and 200m and Platt will take part in the 100m, 200m and high jump.
Distance runners for the men's team include freshman Aaron Peterson running his second collegiate steeplechase, freshman Grant Parrelli in the 800m and seniors Keith Schenkel and Spencer Liechty competing in the 5000m.
Freshmen Haley Jerabek and Sydney Larkin will run the 800m, while seniors Susannah Shelley and Madison Riethman and sophomore Emily Wolery will battle in the 1500m. Freshman trio Rachael Sollman, Delainey Burnett and Kristen Barbour will all compete in the 5000m.
The women's 4x100m relay team of freshmen Victoria Chiller, Kristine Johnston, Monica Mannings and Brenna McGrath are also scheduled for multiple events on Saturday. Not only will they run in the 4x100m, but all will compete in the 200m with Mannings also slated for the 100m and McGrath and Chiller in the 400m.
In the field events, sophomore Onya Edwards will represent the team in both the triple jump and long jump and sophomore Mercedes Oliver will take on fellow competitors in the shot put, discus throw and hammer throw.
The Redhawk Invitational is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at Miami (OH) University and will start at 10:00 a.m.
