CINCINNATI - This weekend the Xavier track and field team travel to Lexington, Ky. to take part in the Kentucky Invitational. This is the second meet of the indoor track season and the first coming off of the winter break.

The men's team looks to step up and meet the challenge of the stronger competition. John Kolibab and Russell Platt are both coming off of school record performances in the high jump at the Oiler Opener, and will try to top their performances against a solid field.

The women Musketeers will also be facing a strong field with national powers No. 6 Kentucky, UCF and Wake Forest being the premiere teams. Adrija Taraska will try to make an impact in the shot put, and runners Audrey Ramos and Anna Ahlrichs hope to build off of the momentum from cross country season

The meet will take place at the University of Kentucky's Nutter Filedhouse and gets underway at 9 a.m.
