Kolibab not only won the high jump, but set a new school record in the process.

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The Xavier track and field team participated in the Butler Invitational yesterday in Indianapolis where Craig Krcal, John Kolibab, Mercedes Oliver and the men's 4x100m relay team all won their events.
Kolibab had a successful day in the high jump by clearing a height of 2.01m making him the event champion. With that jump, Kolibab set a new school record and a personal best.
Krcal, Oliver, and the men's 4x100m relay team were also event champions on the day. Krcal won the javelin with a distance of 48.50m and Oliver won the shot put by setting a new personal record with a distance of 13.08m. The 4x100m relay team of Matthew Bryant, Russell Platt, Josh Phelan and Dimitrious Dimitroff won the event by finishing with a time of 42.91.
Other men's highlights on the day include Tom Ohlman placing fourth in the 3000m with a time of 8:26.72, Grant Parrelli taking third in the 800m with a time of 1:57.40 and Russell Platt and Dimitrious Dimitroff crossing third (22.71) and fourth (22.75) in the 200m dash.
The women's team had several athletes place high throughout the events. Abby Fischer took second in the 3000m by setting a personal record of 9:58.83. The women's 4x400m relay team of Victoria Chiller, Emily Wolery, Christine Lucas and Sydney Larkin placed second overall with a time 4:04.58.
In the women's open 800m, the Xavier runners took second through fifth place. The runners include Madison Riethman (2:20.72), Haley Jerabek (2:21.60), Susannah Shelley (2:21.60) and Emily Staresinic (2:22.77). Audrey Ramos and Anna Ahlrichs finished back to back in the 1500m by taking third (4:40.58) and fourth (4:40.67).
The Musketeers are home in Cincinnati next weekend, Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29, for the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational.
