Tyler set a new school record in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Emily Tyler set a school record for the second straight day in the women's 60-meter hurdles, while her counterpart on the men's side, sophomore Evan Betts, placed seventh in the finals at the final day of the Hoosier Hills Invitational on Saturday.
Tyler placed third in the event with a new school best time of 9.02, besting Friday's tying time of 9.05. It's the best finish for Tyler in the event who will run again in next weekend's Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championship.
Betts, who smashed his old school record on Friday with a time of 8.49, ran to a seventh place finish behind an 8.77 time. It was the fourth time this season that Betts has qualified for the finals of the men's 60-meter hurdles. He has the 12th best pro-rated time in the event heading into the league championship.
The 2012 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championship will be held next Friday and Saturday at Rhode Island.
