Peltz has shined this season in the 400 meter dash

CINCINNATI - Senior Tommy Kauffmann and junior Brittani Peltz set school records in the 3,000 meters and 400 meters respectively at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Kent State University. The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Annie Lennon, Susannah Shelley, Megan McCurdy and Peltz set a new standard with a time of 4:01.49, to finish in seventh place.
Kauffmann had the best Musketeer finish of the event, placing second in the 3,000 meter run. The Mariemont, Ohio native's time of 8:17.80 bested his previous record set at last season's Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships.
Peltz broke the 400 meter dash record last weekend at the Doug Raymond Invitational, but managed to shave some more time to finish in sixth place with a blistering 56.88.
Nine Musketeers posted top 10 finishes in a meet that showcased the best of collegiate track and field in Ohio. An additional 13 Xavier student-athletes came in the top 20. Junior sprinter Nick Williams posted two 10th place finishes in the 60 meter dash preliminaries and 200 meter dash with times of 7.04 and 22.37 respectively. William's 7.04 60 meter dash ties his record time from last season's All-Ohio Championship.
The middle distances saw sophomore Rachel Clark earn a 10th place finish in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:19.38. Junior Keith Albrektson crossed the line in eight place in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:35.24.
Long-distance runners Hank Geer and Ben Foley came in eighth and tenth in the 5,000 meters with times of 15:05.65 and 15:07.86 respectively.
Freshman jumper Isaiah Glover came in seventh place in the long jump with a mark of 21-09.00. Glover also particpated in the triple jump, posting a 39-05.00 leap.
