Five medal winners marked the final day of the 2012 Atlantic 10 Track and Field Championships for Xavier. In all eight medals were had for the Musketeers at the league meet.
Outside of the men's basketball team, the Musketeers have a busy upcoming week. Tennis steps out of conference play, baseball has five games on the road, both golf teams are in Florida, and track is headed to Alabama.
Emily Tyler won her second overall medal after placing second on Saturday in the 60-meter hurdles.
2009-10: Participated in all 13 events during her second year with the Musketeers ...At the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships she finished 12th and set a school record of 12.51 in the 100-meters, set a school record of 14.70 in the 100-meter hurdles finishing 10th and placed 20th in the 400-meter hurdles ...Member of the 4x100-meter Relay that finished fifth and set a school record at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships ...Set the school record in the 55-meter Hurdles and finishing eighth with a time of 8.65 at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship. Ran on the 4x400-meter Relay that finished 12th at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships ...Set a school record of 9.27 in the 60-meter Hurdles at the Findlay Oiler Invitational ...Ran a season-best 27.19 200-meters, 15.23 110-meter Hurdles and 1:06.57 400-meter Hurdles.
2008-09: Competed in nine events for XU in the spring ...Was one of only two female athletes to participate in a pentathlon for XU in 2009 ...Excelled in the hurdles, participating in the 60-, 100-, and 400-meter hurdles ...Fastest 60-meter hurdles was 9.11 at the Golden Flash and Gladstein Invitational ...Best 100-meter hurdlescame at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship with a time of 14.97 ...Clocked her best 400-meter hurdles at the Stan Lyons Invitationalwith a 1:05.76 ...Her best long jump was 5.20 meters set at the Gladstein Invitational and the Indiana Relays ... Participated in two relays: her 4x100-meter relay team posted its best time at the Early Bird Relays with a 50.48, while her 4x400-meter relay squad clocked its best time at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship with a time of 4:03.09.
High School: Holds four school records at Bethel-Tate (100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, long jump and 4x100-meter relay), winning the conference championship in all four events... Helped her team to conference runner-up finishes in her junior and senior seasons... Highest finish at state was fifth ... Squad also finished as the runner-up in the district her junior year... Named Runner of the Year for the SBAAC as a junior and senior... First-Team All-Star all four years ... Honored as McDonald's Athlete of the Month... Was an All-Ohio First Team honoree all four years ... Personal bests include: 14.9 in the 100-meter hurdles, 12.6 in the 100-meter dash, 45.9 in the 300-meter hurdles and 17' 1/4" in the long jump ... Also a member of the basketball team where she was First-Team All-Star her junior and senior seasons, Second-Team All-Star her sophomore year and All-District her junior and senior seasons ... Led the city of Cincinnati in steals her junior and senior campaigns
