2008-09: Joins an exclusive club of two-sport athletes; Phillips is a standout for the women's basketball team. • Had a very successful campaign, despite only competing in two events during the spring. • Participated exclusively in the shot put posting a season-best mark of 14.44 meters at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship. • Her performance at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships allowed her to participate in the NCAA Regional competition where she placed 36th overall.

2009 Outdoor Track & Field: Was cleared to throw the shot put for Xavier Track & Field by Head Women's Basketball Coach Kevin McGuff.

High School (2001-05): Excelled at track and field, finishing fourth in the state in the shot put while leading her team to the state championship in her junior year ... Also named All-State in track and field in 2004 and 2005 ... Won the California Legislative Sports Award for Track and Field.
