CINCINNATI - Xavier women's swimmer Lindsey Barton, a freshman from Sanford, Fla., has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday, November 12. This is the first weekly honor for Barton and the third time this year a women's team member has earned a weekly honor.

On her way to being named Rookie of the Week, Barton won the 500 Free (5:10.86) and 1,000 Free (10:29.39) events on Friday, Nov. 9 as the Xavier women downed IUPUI, 166-116. She also swam the opening leg of the 400-yard medley relay (4:02.00).

Both the men and women will return action on November 30 as they travel to Akron, Ohio, to participate in the Summa Care Invitational. The event lasts through December 2.
