CINCINNATI -- The Xavier swim team will be back in action this weekend as the women's squad travels to Marshall for a 5 p.m. meet Friday. Both teams hit the pool at O'Conner Sports Center Saturday for the first home meet of the season against Wheeling Jesuit at 1 p.m.

Last week, the Musketeers split the annual crosstown meet with rival Cincinnati on October 21 with the men earning a win and the women falling just short. On Saturday, October 22 the XU swimmers fell in a tough meet against regional rival Miami (Ohio).

On the women's side, sophomore Lynn Brotherton has been off to a strong start with a first place finish in the 100 butterfly at Miami, and a third place finish in the 200 fly at UC.

On the men's side, senior Chadeau Wilson won two straight 200 breaststroke events last weekend and freshman Eric Dirvin earned a victory in the 200 free at Miami and UC.

Xavier will host the annual Alumni Meet November 5, at the O'Conner Sports Center. All XU fans and alumni are invited to attend.
