Xavier Swimming Honored by CSCAA for Academics

The Xavier men posted a 3.35 team GPA, which ranked them second in the nation among Division I programs.  The women's team was 12th in the nation with a 3.36 team GPA.

CINCINNATI - In a release by the College Swim Coaches Association of America, Xavier University's swim teams each earned high marks for hard work in the classroom. Both of the teams ranked in the top 12 nationally in GPA with the men's team ranked second in the nation and the women's team ranked 12th overall.

The men's team, who capped the season with a program-best third place finish at the Atlantic 10 meet, ranked second in the nation with a 3.35 GPA. The Musketeers only trailed the top squad Yale by 0.07 as the Bulldogs posted a 3.42 team GPA. The XU men were also the top A-10 school in the rankings with George Washington being the closest team at 23rd.

The women's team ranked 12th overall and were also the top team in the Atlantic 10 conference with a 3.36 GPA. The closest A-10 school on the women's side was the University of Rhode Island who was ranked 39th in the release. The XU women capped the year with a fifth place finish at the A-10 Championships.
