CINCINNATI - Xavier's women's swimming team will host its final meet before the BIG EAST Championships When Ohio University comes to town Friday evening. The meet is set to start at 5:30 p.m. at the O'Connor Sports Complex.

Although XU dropped a close meet to Wright State, 116-107, many swimmers earned top finishes last weekend. Distance swimmers Mackenna Rife (10:49.51) and Emily Wagner (10:50.75) finished 1-2 in the 1000 free. Rife (5:16.17) also won the 500 free by .08 seconds to earn her second win of the night.

Other victories for the Musketeers included Molly Kroeger taking the 200 free (1:55.45), Maddie Day winning the 50 free (25.39) and Carolyn Stewart winning the 100 back (58:37).

This will be the last meet to prepare for the BIG EAST Championships in two weeks. The first day of the event is set to begin Wednesday, Feb. 19.
