Swimming Set To Close Out Regular Season This Weekend

CINCINNATI - Xavier swimming is set to wrap up its regular-season schedule this weekend with a pair of meets. The women will travel to Athens, Ohio for a 5 p.m. meet with Ohio on Friday. Then, both squads play host to Wright State at the O'Connor Sports Center at 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Musketeers have fared well in recent events, with multiple swimmers winning events over the last three weeks. Sam Conchuratt has been a stalwart on the men's side, winning seven total races between individual and relay events during the last three meets. Mackenna Rife has established herself as one of the premier distance swimmers in the Atlantic 10, winning multiple events since the start of the spring semester and establishing some of the top times in the conference this season.
Chad Thompson, Luke Johanns, Kiernan McGeehan and Knox Hitt on the men's have also shown the propensity for winning events recently. Several other Musketeers to keep an eye on are David Maxwell, Alex Huff, David Gordon, Eric Dirvin, Michael Gordon, Landon Graham and Pablo Morejon.
Carolyn Stewart is continuing to build off of her experience at the AT&T Winter Nationals in the backstroke events. Jacquelyn Misanik joins Stewart in the backstroke events, giving Xavier two very strong swimmers in the discipline. Anne Frigo, Courtney Shields, Claire Brolsma, Randi Windemuller, Maddie Day and Molly Kroeger have been coming on of late.
The 12 seniors on Xavier's swim team will be honored during Saturday's home meet with Wright State. Conchuratt, David Gordon, Graham, Maxwell, Morejon, Joseph O'Hara, Daniel Schneider, Steve Sharp, Rick Stewart, Frigo, Shields and Windemuller are swimming in their final home meet as Musketeers.
