CINCINNATI - Following a nearly two month break in meets, the Xavier University men's and women's swim teams will be back in the pool for competitive action.
The swim team travels to Indianapolis, Ind., for a 6 p.m. meet with IUPUI, Ball State and Marshall (women only) on Friday night. Both teams will be in the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday in a meet with Cleveland State and Oakland in Cleveland, Ohio.
As a full squad Xavier was last in the pool at the Cleveland State Invitational the weekend of Nov. 16-17. Four individuals, Sam Conchuratt, Chad Thompson, Knox Hitt and Carolyn Stewart, participated against some of the best swimmers in the World at the AT&T Winter Nationals in Austin, Texas at the end of November. Since then the Musketeers have been training, which included their annual training trip to Florida over the New Year's holiday.
Including the meets this coming weekend, the swimmers will face competition five more times prior to the Atlantic 10 Championships that are scheduled for Feb. 20-23 at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
