Xavier Swimmers In Good Position After Two Days At Akron

AKRON -- The Xavier men's swim team sits in third place and the women hold eighth place after two days of competition at the Akron Zippy Invitational.
In women's action, freshman Jaquelyn Misanik took first place in the C final of the women's 100 backstroke in 58.34. The team of Carolyn Stewart, Maddie Day, Courtney Shields and Anne Frigo won the 200 medley relay in 1:45.32.
In men's action, senior Michael Zennedjian took first in the 400 individual medley in 3:59.70. He was followed by Chad Thompson in second place in 4:02.32. David Maxwell won the C final of the 100 butterfly in 51.99. Carter Clark also earned a top finish as he won the 100 breaststroke C heat.
The Xavier swim team will conclude competition at Akron Sunday.
