CINCINNATI-- The Xavier swim teams opened the 2011-12 home schedule in winning fashion with a sweep of Wheeling Jesuit Saturday at the O'Conner Sports Center. The XU women earned a 117-82 win while the men posted a 122-82 win.

In women's action Grace Raynor took tops in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:15.65 while Anastasia Helland and Erin Kirby took second and third respectively. Samantha Sloand won the women's 100 freestyle, Carolyn Stewart won the 200 individual medley and Randi Windemullertook the top spot in the 50 free.

Sam Conchuratt won the 50 freestyle in 22.12 and was followed Carter Clark in second place in 22.53. Chad Thompson won the 200 free in 1:45.65, Michael Zennedjian earned a first place finish in the 200 IM, and David Maxwelltook first in the 200 fly as the Musketeers posted a strong outing in men's action.

The Musketeers return to action November 5 as they host the annual Alumni Exhibition Meet.
