Xavier Swimming Falls To Oakland, CSU

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Xavier University men's and women's swimming teams each dropped a pair of matchups on Saturday afternoon in a tri-meet with Oakland and Cleveland State.
Molly Kroeger needed all 500 meters, but the sophomore posted a .15-second victory in the 500 free with a time 5:08.93. Nicholas Strader followed on the men's side with a third-place showing, touching in 4:44.38.
Carolyn Stewart and Jacquelyn Misanik picked up first- and fourth-place points in the 200 IM. Stewart completed the event in 2:12.61 and Misanik posted a time of 2:17.27. In the final women's event of the evening, Carly Davis, Haley Dresner, Taylor Jach and Heidi Turner picked up second-place points in the 400 free relay.
The lone individual victory on the men's side was delivered by Chad Thompson. Thompson claimed the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:55.89. Armando Moss, Rodrigo Suriano and Luke Johanns then teamed with Thompson to give Xavier first-place points in the 400 free relay to close the meet.
Both teams will be back in action on Sunday in the Butler Invitational. The first event is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
